With heartfelt appreciation, we announce the retirement of Dr. Lee McCain from OB-GYN Associates. Dr. McCain has served our community with exceptional care and compassion for 28 years. His dedication to his patients and expertise in the field will be deeply missed. We want to assure you that OB-GYN Associates remains committed to delivering the same level of care you've come to expect from our practice.

OB-GYN Associates has served the needs of women in the North Alabama area for over 50 years. During this time, we have taken care of multiple generations of families. We will temporarily be closing our Decatur office while we make renovations in our new Decatur location. In the meantime, our Madison Office is open and ready to serve all of your OB/GYN needs. Updates will be available on our website and social media accounts as they become available.

Dr. Purvis has been providing care for our obstetrical and gynecology patients at OB-GYN Associates since 1996. As of November 1, 2023 he will no longer be providing prenatal care or delivering babies. Dr. Purvis will continue his gynecology practice here at OB-GYN Associates with a focus on robotic surgery. Our other providers in the office are available for any obstetric needs that you may have.

As of September 1, 2018, the physicians at OBGYN Associates started to deliver exclusively at Madison Hospital located in Madison, Alabama. We would like to take this opportunity to address a few of our patient questions.

First, please know that our Decatur office remains open to both new and established patients just like it has for the last 50 years.

Secondly, we consider the Decatur community our family and take pride in serving our patients. For decades, OBGYN Associates have faithfully cared for patients, insured and otherwise, with thorough and personal attention.

Our commitment to this the area spans generations. It began over five decades ago and continues today with all of the physicians who work to preserve our longstanding presence in the Decatur community. The physicians who work in our practice today are as dedicated as those who served when the practice opened its doors.

The OBGYN physicians and staff love what we do and we appreciate our patients. We will always strive to make that apparent in your care. We look forward to many, many more years of serving you.

As of August 1, 2018, Dr. Spangler will be retiring from his practice at OBGYN Associates. While we are sure you wish Dr. Spangler well, you might be wondering how and where you'll continue your care.
